Ulrika Bodén

Hilda Gunborg Ulrika Bodén (* 1974 ) is a Swedish folk musician and singer.

Life

Bodén grew up on his parents' goat farm in Helgum near Långsele in the Ångermanland region . So far she has worked with the groups Kalabra, Hoven Droven, Ranarim , Rosenbergs sjua and Kapell Sheida as well as with the composer Karin Rehnqvist .

With the world music group Sheida she took part in 2007 in the Melodifestivalen , the Swedish preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest - an excursion into the world of the mainstream . In the folk group Ranarim, which she co-founded, she was one of the two singers and also played the flute there. The Ranarim album Morgonstjärna was nominated for a Grammy and won the Manifest Prize for best folk / world music album in 2006.
