Ulrike Hövelmann (born June 7, 1954 in Bremen ) is a Bremen politician ( SPD ) and was a member of the Bremen Parliament .

biography

education and profession

From 1972 to 1977 Ulrike Hövelmann studied economics, education and history at the University of Bremen . This was followed by internship from 1977 to 1979. From 1979 to 1995 she was a teacher at secondary levels I and II, since then the employment relationship has been suspended according to Section 29 of the Bremen Parliamentary Representatives Act.

She has been a member of the Education and Science Union (GEW) since 1977 .

politics

Ulrike Hövelmann joined the SPD in 1988. From 1990 to 1995 she was the local association chairwoman and second state chairwoman of the Working Group for Education in the SPD and has been a member of the Eastern sub-district committee since 1994.

On June 8, 1995 she became a member of the Bremen citizenship. In the citizenry she was a member of the Committee for Federal and European Affairs, International Contacts and Development Cooperation, the Committee for Equal Rights for Women, the Works Committee Building and Technology Management, the Works Committee Performa Nord, the State Budget and Finance Committee, the State Audit Committee, in the city budget and finance committee and in the city audit committee. She was also a member of the Education Deputation. Hövelmann no longer belongs to the Bremen citizenship after the state election in May 2007: According to an SPD subdistrict resolution, MPs should not belong to parliament for longer than three legislative periods.
