Ulrike Neumann

Ulrike Neumann (born July 29, 1945 in Soltau ), b. Fünfstück , is a German SPD politician . From 1990 to 2006 she was a member of the Berlin House of Representatives .

education and profession

After completing secondary school in 1962, Neumann trained as a technical draftsman , which she completed in 1964. She worked in this area until 1978, when she made up her Abitur at the Berlin-Kolleg from 1979 to 1981. She then studied at the Free University of Berlin law .

Political party

In 1975 she joined the SPD. Here she was among other things from 1984 to 1985 chairwoman of department 2 in the Steglitz district and from 1984 to 2004 state party congress delegate.

Mandates

From 1985 to 1990 Neumann was a member of the district assembly in the Steglitz district.

From 1990 to 2011 Neumann was a member of the Berlin House of Representatives and represented the constituency of Südende (Steglitz-Zehlendorf) there .

Her political focus is on the areas of labor market, cultural, legal and women's policy.

Among other things, she was the spokesperson for women's affairs from 1994 to 2006 and from 2009 to 2011.

Neumann has a grown daughter.

Neumann is a member of the ver.di union , the Arbeiterwohlfahrt (AWO) and the non-partisan women (ÜPFI).
