from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ulrikke Falch (* 1996 ) is a Norwegian actress , author and women's rights activist . She gained fame primarily through her role as Vilde Lien in the youth series Skam .

Life

Falch grew up in Oslo. She was part of the main cast of the Norwegian youth series Skam from 2015 to 2017 , but she never took the position as the main character of a season. On the side, she also became known as an activist. She spoke openly about her anorexia and warns against mental pressure from ideals of beauty . In 2018 she was nominated for the Vixen Influencer Awards , but she withdrew from it to draw attention to the problematic developments in the influencer industry. One on March 8, 2019 as part of International Women's DayTV debate broadcast with the Norwegian Instagram personality Kristin Ullebø subsequently led to larger discussions. Falch was of the opinion that it would be irresponsible to present one's body on social media in such a way that there is pressure on viewers to follow an ideal of beauty.

In 2019 the documentary series F-ordet ( German : the F-word ) was broadcast on the Norwegian radio Norsk rikskringkasting (NRK). In it, Falch tries to convince students of the secondary school in Eidsberg of feminism in 30 days. That year she also worked for the song Store jenter gråter ikke (German: Big Girls Don't Cry ) by the Norwegian singer Gulla . In June 2020 the Danish television channel TV 2 broadcast the documentary series Ulrikke uden skam .

In 2018, Falch and comedian Sofie Frøysaa published the book Jenteloven (German: the girl's law ) in Gyldendal . The book is about feminism and, according to the authors, should be a guide for young people.
