Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers is a fighting game released exclusively for Nintendo Switch on May 26, 2017 . The title was developed on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the game series.

description

The game is an update of the 1994 Super Street Fighter II Turbo . The game features Evil Ryu and Violent Ken as new characters . The "Way of the Hado" mode was newly introduced, from which the fight takes place via the first person perspective . This can only be played via the motion control of the Joy-Cons . There is also a gallery with over 1500 drawings.

In the game it is possible to choose between the display modes "classic" ( 4: 3 ) or "modern" ( 16: 9 ). This also applies to the sound effects. Both styles can be combined.

The game was first announced in January 2017. On February 14, 2017, development was 50% complete. The download and retail versions were released worldwide on May 26, 2017.

The game sold 500,000 times by November 2017, 450,000 of them in the first three months after release. Capcom speaks of a "huge success".
