Ulutogia is a settlement at the eastern end of the island of Upolu in the political district (itūmālō) Atua of the island state of Samoa . The place is one of the most easterly points of Samoa.

geography

The place is on the east coast between Satitoa and Vailoa . Only a few hundred meters further south, Lalomanu with Matāutu and Cape Tapaga form the southeastern tip of the island. The beach is known as Lalomanu Beach .

The village is home to Ao o Atua , Fuataga Leififi and the Safuataga family .

Tsunami 2009

Ulutogia suffered severe damage and several deaths from the 2009 Samoan earthquake and subsequent tsunami (September 29, 2009). The village was rebuilt with international support.
