The nature reserve (NSG) around the Eibsee is located in the independent city of Chemnitz in Saxony .

The 39 hectare area with the NSG no. C 89 is located in the eastern part of Chemnitz, between the districts of Adelsberg and Euba , around the Eibsee . It was designated as a nature reserve in 2000.

maintenance

Since 1997, the Association for the Promotion of Landscape Management and Nature Conservation (Natur-Hof Chemnitz) eV has been carrying out an extensive grazing project with German Angus cattle and Boer goats . The aim of the project is to protect the large open and semi-open areas from encroachment and thus to preserve the habitat of endangered and rare plant and animal species.
