The nature reserve (NSG) Am Schusterstein is located in the municipalities of Lichtenau and Taura in the district of Central Saxony and in the independent city of Chemnitz in Saxony .

The 13.32 hectare area with the NSG identification C 54 is located on the northern outskirts of Chemnitz on a loop of the Chemnitz river .
