Hans Storck

Hans Storck (born June 5, 1912 in Hanover ; † 2000 ) was a German conductor.

Storck studied from 1935 to 1938 at the conservatory in Hanover and from 1938 to 1939 at the music academy in Sondershausen . From 1939 to 1944 he had his first engagement in Elbing . From 1944 Storck served in the Wehrmacht and was then a prisoner of war until 1949 . From 1949 to 1950 he took a conductor's position in Stendal , from 1950 to 1953 in Schwerin . In 1953 and 1954 he worked as music director in Stendal and from 1954 to 1974 on the stages of the city of Zwickau . In 1964, Stork received the Robert Schumann Prize from the city of Zwickau. In 1987 Zwickau made him honorary citizen.
