Lore Fischer

Lore Fischer (born May 27, 1911 in Stuttgart , † October 16, 1991 in Munich ) was a German singer ( alto ), violinist and music teacher.

Life

Lore Fischer first studied singing and violin in Stuttgart and then singing with Maria Philippi in Cologne . From 1934 she appeared in public as a valued contralto for lied and oratorio. First she gave concerts in the German music centers of Berlin, Hamburg, Hanover, Cologne and other German cities. Increasingly, she also gave concerts in other European countries such as B. in Warsaw (1933), Brussels (1938, 1939), Paris (1938, 1941), Amsterdam (1939, 1941) and in Graz (1938). In 1956 she went on an extensive tour of the USA. She often gave concerts with Hermann Reutter . With him and her husband she founded the Lore Fischer Trio, which performed many baroque works. Fischer was later appointed professor at the Stuttgart University of Music.

Since 1942 she was married to the violist and accompanist Rudolf Nel . The actress Kristina Nel is the couple's daughter and the director Christof Nel is their son.
