Baptist Salomon in 1756 and by Andrea Castagneri in 1747), the pianist uses different pianos (originals and copies) according to the time the works were composed . These new experiences have been documented on several CDs with works by Mozart (Piano Trio KV 10-15, Divertimento KV 254) were with the replica of a Silbermann - fortepiano from 1749 and a tangent wings added, op works by Johannes Brahms (Piano Trio in A major. posth., G major op. 36 after the sextet, horn trio op. 40, clarinet trio op. 114) were recorded with original grand pianos by Johann Baptist Streicher (1851, 1864 and 1876), piano trios by Haydn played the Abegg Trio with one Original by John Broadwood (1808).
In addition to their concert activities, the three musicians teach at the music academies in Münster and Hanover . Together, the Abegg Trio passes on its experience in international master classes .
The Abegg Trio broke up at the end of 2017.
From 1976 to 2017 it gave concerts for over 40 years in the original line-up, a very rare case of continuity in a chamber music ensemble.
