Eva Fleischer
Eva Fleischer , also Eva Fleischer-Fischer (born May 5, 1922 in Breslau ; † January 8, 2016 in Leipzig ), was a German opera singer ( alto ) and professor at the Leipzig Music Academy .
Life
Fleischer completed her studies at the Leipzig University of Music, where she worked as a lecturer from 1951. From 1959 to 1966 she belonged to the ensemble of the Leipzig Opera. In the 1960s she was portrayed in oil several times by Bernhard Heisig . From 1966 to 1982 she was a professor at the Leipzig University of Music.
She was married to the pianist Rudolf Fischer .
Awards
- 2nd prize in the singing category, International Johann Sebastian Bach Competition 1950
- National Prize of the GDR III. Class for Art and Literature 1958 ("for their interpretation of German and international classical and progressive songs, in which their commitment to our state and the building of socialism is expressed")
- Robert Schumann Prize of the City of Zwickau (1983).
