Umberto Marino

Umberto Marino (born November 27, 1952 in Rome ) is an Italian playwright, screenwriter and film director .

Life

Marino graduated in law and studied at the "Accademia Nazionale d'Arte Drammatica"; at the theater he was an actor and assistant director for Giuseppe Patroni Griffi and later a. a. Ennio Coltorti and Gianfranco De Bosio . Several pieces for the stage were created; some only worked with monologues. Among the best known are titles such as Non aspettando Godot , Accademia and Italia-Germania 4-3 . In 1987 he also began working for the film by creating scripts based on his own templates and original material; about ten films were made, each of which attracted attention - including several animated films by Enzo D'Alò . In 1993 Marino made his debut as a director with Cominciò tutto per caso ; This was followed by documentary, short and television works. Other activities include a radio series and numerous articles on the film in magazines and other publications.
