Umberto Spadaro

Umberto Spadaro (born November 8, 1904 in Ancona , † October 12, 1981 in Rome ) was an Italian actor .

Life

The younger brother of the actor Peppino Spadaro received his first film role in Senza cielo in 1940 and played in around 95 films by 1979. Before that, however, he had already stood on the theater stages, which he also preferred. He had a special relationship with the Teatro Stabile di Catania, founded in 1958 .

He played one of his most famous film roles in 1955 in The Great Battle of Don Camillo . In 1951 he received the Nastro d'Argento for the best supporting role in Il brigante Musolino .
