The Umdung Kangri is a 6643 m high mountain in the western Himalayas on the border of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh and the Union Territory of Ladakh .
The mountain is 10.33 km west-northwest of the Gya . The upper reaches of the Parechu runs along its northwest flank. The Umdung Kangri was first climbed on August 6, 1999 by a Japanese expedition led by Tatsumi Mizano over the west ridge.
