The Gya ( Chinese 盖亚 山 , Pinyin Gàiyǎ Shān or 甲 日 山 , Jiǎrì Shān ) is a mountain in the Western Himalayas .
The mountain is located at the border triangle of Tibet (People's Republic of China) and Himachal Pradesh ( hospital ) and Ladakh in India . The Gya has a height of 6794 m (according to other sources 6833 m). The Lingtital runs from the Spiti river valley in a northerly direction through the high mountains of the Himalayas. The side valley Chaksachan Lungpa ends at the foot of the Gya.
In a west-north-westerly direction, 10.33 km away, lies the 6643 m high Umdung Kangri .
