The Umm Salal Stadium ( Arabic ملعب أم صلال) is a planned football stadium in the Qatari city of Umm Salal . The stadium was intended to be the venue for the 2022 World Cup and will have space for 45,120 spectators. The stadium should be reminiscent of an Arab fort and serve as the home of the Umm-Salal Sport Club , which until then have played their home games in the Al-Gharafa Stadium and share the sports facility with the al-Gharafa Sports Club .
