Umm-Salal Sport Club ( Arabic نادي ام صلال الرياضي) is a sports club from Umm Salal in Qatar . The men's soccer team plays in the Qatar Stars League , the highest national soccer league. The home games are played in the Thani bin Jassim Stadium .
Club history
In the 2006/07 season he was promoted to the top division and ended the season as a promoted team in third place. In 2008 the football team, founded in 1979, celebrated the first title in the club's history by winning the Emir of Qatar Cup . The then reigning champion Al-Gharafa was defeated in the final. With this victory, the team qualified for the AFC Champions League 2009 . The 2008/09 season ended the team in sixth place.
