Pangasius kinabatanganensis is a species of fish from the genus Pangasius within the shark catfish family. The species is endemic to the Kinabatangan Basin in northeast Borneo .

features

Pangasius kinabatanganensis reaches a body length of about 60 cm. The species is very similar to Pangasius lithostoma , but has a palatal dentition, which consists of a single connected plate on the ploughshare , and an extension of the humerus that is about half as long as the pectoral fin. The gill trap has 22 to 25 rays on the first arch. The anal fin is large and has 27 to 30 soft rays. The adipose fin and pelvic fins are also large.
