Umoe Mandal AS is a shipbuilding company of the Ulltveit Moe Group (Umoe). The shipyard facilities are in Mandal ( Lindesnes municipality ) in Norway .

The company was founded in 1989 as Kværner Båtservice, later renamed Kværner Mandal and has been operating as Umoe Mandal since 2000. The main focus of the shipyard is on the construction of fast marine vehicles, anti-mine vehicles and speedboats . It is a supplier to the Norwegian Navy , for which it currently builds the Skjold-class missile speedboats .

The company has a good reputation for using fiber-reinforced plastics (FRP) for marine applications. Umoe Mandal designs and develops military and civil ships as well as advanced military components made of FRP materials, e.g. B. Air inlets in stealth technology or radial fans made of carbon fiber reinforced materials. Also develops and produces the company through its 2002 founded subsidiary Umoe Ryving rotor blades made of composite materials for wind turbines .
