Transformation temperature

The transition temperature is the temperature at which a substance takes on another phase .

It can be the temperature at which a different physical state is assumed or at which z. B. forms a second phase because the solubility of another substance changes.

Transformation temperatures can be measured directly or calculated using thermodynamic models. Their dependencies on other variables such as pressure, substance concentration, etc. a. are shown in phase diagrams.

Examples of transition temperatures are freezing point and melting point .
