The Leipzig Environmental Library is one of the largest public, privately owned environmental libraries in Germany. It is located in the House of Democracy at Bernhard-Göring-Straße 152 in the Leipzig district of Connewitz .

history

The library was founded in 1988 by the Working Group on Environmental Protection at the Leipzig Youth Parish Office . Since 1990 it has been supported by the Ökolöwe - Umweltbund Leipzig e. V. worn.

Duration

The library contains around 22,000 media (books, magazines, DVDs, board games, brochures, CD-ROMs, posters, transparencies, maps and plans), etc. a. a special collection with 150 issues of information sheets and individual publications by the former church environmental groups of the GDR.
