Una festa sui prati

Una festa sui prati (Italian for “A party on the meadow”) is a song composed in 1967 by Adriano Celentano and Mariano Detto with lyrics by Luciano Beretta , Mogol and Miki Del Prete . In the version sung by Celentano himself, the song became internationally known. In Germany and Belgium the song made it into the top ten of the charts.

The song has been covered several times, for example by Nino de Angelo , Bata Illic , 200 things or Konrad Beikircher .

The song is about a party with wine, bread, good humor and love, and the opposite of making money, the "battle for money" ( la battaglia del denaro ).

The lexicon of pop and rock music wrote about the song: Una festa sui prati (1967) and Azzurro (1968) are among the musical pearls of the charismatic Milanese (Celentano).
