Uncle Sam (clothing brand)
Uncle Sam is a sportswear brand founded in 1986 by brothers Michael and Robert Geiss . The name Uncle Sam is representative of the US lifestyle (→ Uncle Sam ), as well as the United States of America itself through the initials US .
The brand is distributed by LicUS GmbH, which belongs to LF Europe (Germany) GmbH and is based in Norderstedt . In addition to sales through grocery stores such as Rewe , Kaufland , Lidl and Norma, textile discounts such as Kik are also served.
In addition to sportswear, Uncle Sam's range has also included underwear, shoes and fitness equipment for several years. Together with other well-known licenses, Uncle Sam belongs to the trading company Li & Fung . Michael Geiss is still active as the brand owner.
The managing directors are Christopher Conzen, Dirk Pupke and Ulf Brettschneider.
