Underberg is a place in the Harry Gwala District , KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa . It lies on the foothills of the southern Drakensberg ; the name goes back to this. In 2011 Underberg had 2,694 inhabitants.
The city's main sources of income are agriculture and tourism.
Culture and sights
Fishing is an important activity in and around Underberg (in the parish of Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma ). The Underberg Trout Fishing Club holds the fishing rights for over 160 kilometers of rivers and 60 reservoirs.
