Three men sit together in the outdoor area of a cafe and play cards. They are served by a waiter who brings them a bottle of beer and three glasses. The waiter watches them play cards for a while and is happy with the winner of the game. Then the three men drink their beer together.
Background information
Une partie de cartes was the directorial debut of Georges Méliès , who worked with some family members on this film. Gaston Méliès later worked as a director and film producer on the realization of numerous films. For him, too, this was his film debut.
