União the Freguesias de Retorta e Tougues shortly Retorta e Tougues is a municipality ( freguesia ) in the district ( Concelho ) of Vila do Conde in northern Portugal .

2,052 inhabitants live in the municipality on an area of ​​6.55 km² (figures from 2011).

The municipality was created in the course of the regional reform in Portugal on September 29, 2013 by merging the municipalities of Retorta and Tougues . Retorta became the seat of the municipality, the former municipal administration in Tougues continued to exist as a citizens' office.
