União the Freguesias de Rio Mau e Arcos , short Rio Mau e Arcos is a municipality ( freguesia ) in the district ( Concelho ) of Vila do Conde in northern Portugal .

The municipality has 2,681 inhabitants on an area of ​​15.7 km² (as of 2011 figures).

The municipality was created in the course of the regional reform in Portugal on September 29, 2013 by merging the municipalities of Rio Mau and Arcos . Rio Mau became the seat of the municipality, the former municipal administration in Arcos continued to exist as a citizens' office.
