2013 Women's Floorball World Championship / Qualification

Several qualifying tournaments were held for the 9th Women's Floorball World Cup in 2013 in Brno and Ostrava , Czech Republic . While the top five teams from the 2011 World Cup qualified directly, the remaining eleven places were played in qualifying tournaments.

Canada and the United States participated in the qualification in America. The two teams met in two games on February 1 and 2, 2013 in Markham, Canada . Canada won 7: 4 and 2: 1 and qualified for the World Championships.

Asia / Oceania

The qualification for the Asia and Oceania area took place from February 21 to 23, 2013 in Pocheon , South Korea . Australia, Japan and South Korea qualified for the World Cup, while Singapore failed because of the worse goal difference compared to South Korea.

Europe

Twelve teams took part in the two qualifying tournaments for Europe. The best three in each group and the best fourth in the group qualified.

Group 1

The European group 1 was played from January 29th to February 2nd in Valmiera, Latvia . Norway, Slovakia and Denmark qualified directly. Germany also qualified thanks to a better goal difference compared to the Netherlands.

Group 2

The European group 2 played their games from January 30th to February 3rd 2013 in Babimost, Poland . In addition to the host Poland, Russia and Hungary also qualified. The Netherlands missed the qualification due to a worse goal difference compared to Germany in Group 1.
