The Unimog Museum is a transport museum in Kuppenheim (near the former Unimog production site in Gaggenau ). His exhibition is devoted to the history of the Unimog , an all-wheel drive commercial vehicle.

history

After the decision to relocate Unimog production to the Mercedes plant in Wörth am Rhein , the idea of ​​a museum at the traditional production site, the Mercedes-Benz plant in Gaggenau , was born. Construction work began in March 2005 and the opening took place on June 3, 2006. One of the operators is the Unimog Club Gaggenau .

location

The museum is located on federal highway 462 at the Rotenfels Castle exit in the Kuppenheim- Oberndorf district, adjacent to the grounds of the castle in Gaggenau's Bad Rotenfels district . It is the starting point of the Murgleiter hiking trail .

The special features and areas of application of the vehicle are presented in the exhibition. You can ride in a Unimog on a special course.

There are various temporary exhibitions and events throughout the year.
