Union Sportive Douala is a Cameroonian football club from the city of Douala .

history

Union Douala achieved its first successes on a national level shortly after it was founded in 1957. With a 4-0 win over Union Yaoundé , the team won the cup in 1961, but failed to defend their title with a defeat in the final against Lion Yaoundé . In 1969 the club finally won the championship and cup double . In 1976 and 1978 the club was again champion and in 1979 won the CAF Champions League . After winning the Cup in 1980, he succeeded again in a continental competition in 1981 with the victory of the African Cup Winners' Cup . In addition to another championship title in 1990, he won the cup three times. As a result, the club was regularly one of the top teams in the country. In 2012 Union won the national championship title again after 22 years.
