United Party for National Development (translated: United Party for National Development) is a liberal political party in Zambia .

The UPND has international observer status with the Liberals .

history

She took part in the 2001 election in Zambia , in which she won 23.3 percent and thus 49 seats in the National Assembly of Zambia . Your candidate for the presidency was Anderson Mazoka , who won 27.2 percent of the vote. In the Southern Province , the UPND won 18 out of 19 seats in the National Assembly of Zambia.

Mazoka died in May 2006.
