The Universidad Católica del Táchira ( UCAT ; German Catholic University of Táchira ) is a Catholic university in San Cristóbal , the capital of the state of Táchira , Venezuela .
history
The college was founded on July 10, 1962 by the diocese of San Cristóbal de Venezuela with the support of the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello and the Jesuit Order . It emerged from the branch office ( Extensión Táchira ) of the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello founded in San Cristóbal in 1953 ( Universidad Católica Andrés Bello Extensión Táchira - UCABET).
