The Universidad de Piura (UDEP) is the private Catholic university based in Piura and Lima . It is a cooperative work of Opus Dei .

history

The college was founded on April 7, 1969 on the initiative of Josemaría Escrivá . University operations started with 97 students and 9 teachers. In 2003 the campus in Lima was opened. Economics and finance are the main subjects offered there.
