Pigeonnier du Salin
The Pigeonnier du Salin (French colombier or pigeonnier for pigeon tower) in Saint-Pardon-de-Conques , a French commune in the Gironde department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region , was built in the 17th century. The pigeon tower has been on the list of architectural monuments in France as Monument historique since 1978 .
The round tower made of plastered quarry stone is one of the storage buildings of the salt port on the Garonne . It is covered by a dome with four dormer windows that provide access for the pigeons. The dormers are decorated with a round arch.
