Pigeon tower in Loubens

The pigeon tower (French colombier or pigeonnier ) of the Château de Lavison in Loubens , a French commune in the Gironde department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region , was built in the 15th century. The pigeon tower stands as part of the castle since 1987 as a monument historique on the list of monuments in France.

The round tower made of plastered quarry stone is covered by a roof with four dormers , which provide access for the pigeons. The dormers are decorated with triangular gables.
