from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Universidad del Fútbol y Ciencias del Deporte (UFD) is a from the Mexican first division club CF Pachuca entertaining football school based in San Agustín Tlaxiaca , a suburb of Pachuca , the capital of the state of Hidalgo .

history

The club was founded in 2001 and acquired in the summer of 2007 from CF Cuautitlán the license to participate in the third-rate Segunda División , in which they played the following three seasons up to the 2009/10 season. The Universidad del Fútbol won four of the six tournaments held every six months during this period and even scored a title hat-trick in its last three participations.

Although the team would have been eligible for promotion to the Liga de Ascenso as a two-time tournament winner of the 2009/10 season , they were not allowed to perceive promotion as a branch team of CF Pachuca and in their place the Altamira FC was included in the second division . The UFD then moved their team back to the fourth-class Tercera División , where they have since been assigned to Group 7.
