The University of Douala , also University of Duala ( English University of Douala , French Université de Douala ), is a state university in the Cameroonian city ​​of Douala .

history

The University Center in Douala, founded on April 8, 1977, was elevated to a university by the President's Emergency Ordinance No. 93/026 on January 19, 1993. The official founding date of the University of Douala is therefore officially January 19, 1993. With its headquarters in the largest city and former capital of Cameroon, the educational institution occupies a prominent position within the higher education system in Cameroon. The University of Douala has six departments and five so-called “Ecoles”.

  • L'École Normale Supérieure de l'Enseignement Technique (ENSET) (Technical College for Technical Education)
  • L'Institut Universitaire de Technologie (IUT) (University Institute of Technology)
