List of universities in Cameroon

This is a list of universities in Cameroon . Yaoundé University , founded in 1961, was split up in 1993 . There are eight state universities in Cameroon with a total of 207,887 students in 2011. There are also 113 private universities with a total of 36,346 students in 2011.
