The University of Liepāja ( Latvian : Liepājas Universitāte ) is one of six state universities in Latvia with its seat in the city of Liepāja (Libau).

history

The university was founded in 1954 as a technical college of education, renamed the Liepāja Pedagogical Academy in 1993 and was recognized as a university in 2008 .
