University of Alaska Southeast
The University of Alaska Southeast (also called UAS ) was founded in 1972 and is a state, regional university in Juneau in the southeast of the US state Alaska . It is the smallest location in the University of Alaska system . In addition to the main campus in Juneau, it has remote offices in Ketchikan and Sitka . The university offers several study programs. In addition to the studies with a Bachelor's degree, which take place locally at the university, there are several correspondence courses for adult education. The UAS sees itself as a support instrument for the indigenous population of Alaska. Together with the Alaska National Guard, the UAS runs a large sports forum in Juneau.
