Unrest was a German metal band from Bremen .

Band history

After the band was formed in 1988, two demos were recorded in three years. In addition, there were several concerts in northern Germany. Then the first album Taste It was produced, which was released in 1992. A new album was produced two years later and was available early the following year. This album is called By the Light of the Moon . After reaching a certain level of awareness, the first big appearances followed with well-known bands such as Rage and Skyclad . In 1996 there was a tour together with the power metal bands Iced Earth and Nevermore , which took Unrest through Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. In 1997 the third CD Watch Out was released. In the same year further tours followed, including with Scanner , WASP and Sinner . A year later, ten years after the band was founded, the fourth album Cold Steel Whisper was released. Unrest also played at Wacken Open Air . In 2000 the first live album, Restless and Live , was released, and in 2001 the next studio album followed. A few more concerts followed, including with Dio , until the band finally did not perform any activities for 3 years. In 2004 the band got back together, but with a new guitarist and a new bassist. The songs written since the reunification were then released in 2006 under the title Back to the Roots on Massacre Records . Unrest were disbanded at the end of 2009 because they "couldn't find a suitable singer".
