Even as a child, Mr. Sieler had the desire to become a dog groomer and his wish has come true. Today he runs a dog grooming salon. His favorite customers are the poodles , who are very loyal and affectionate and who need a bath and a shave of their hair about every six weeks. In the past, people used to hunt waterfowl with the big poodles . Their name is derived from Pfuhl, which means something like swamp, morass or large puddle. The rear part was always shaved bald so that it could not soak up water.
Every dog has its own character. There are hunting dogs, dogs that chase fake rabbits on the racetrack, guard dogs, dogs that save people, guide dogs and lap dogs. With some dogs you can no longer imagine that they descended from the wolf . Mr. Sieler bought his first dog with his pocket money because he didn't want to play with dead objects. In addition to bathing and cutting hair and looking for any fleas that may be present , the dogs also have their ears cleaned, which is not so much fun for them. What else needs to be said: Mr. Sieler has never been bitten by one of his customers.

Dog hairdresser was shot on ORWO-Color by the Artistic Working Group (KAG) Real evening greeting production of DEFA for the series Berufe as a result of the film series Our Sandman and it was broadcast for the first time on German television on September 5, 1990 . The first demonstrable performance on a big screen took place on December 15, 2019 in the Berlin Zeughauskino .
