Fürbuch Chapel of Our Lady SW

Our Lady is a Roman Catholic chapel in Fürbuch , Upper Swabia , a district of Breitenbrunn . The previous church had an altar from the chapel of Illertissen Castle . The current building was built in 1854 and in 1928 an axis was added to the west. It was renovated in the 1960s.

The church is located in the middle of the hamlet and has a ship with three axes. The arched windows are framed outside. The wooden ceiling inside is modern. The choir arch is receding and arched. The semicircular apse has two arched windows and a flat plastered ceiling. There is an arched door to the west. A profiled eaves cornice can be seen outside . The west gable is framed by cornices. In front of him is a flat projecting roof turret , which was added in 1928. It has a square base and an octagonal top with an onion dome .

The canteen altar is more recent. In the apse apse there are four modern frescos in Gothic style by Erich Marschner from Memmingen . They show the Annunciation , the Adoration of the Magi , the flight into Egypt and the burial of Jesus . The pews in the church are new, only the tail cheeks are from the beginning of the 18th century. They were brought to Fürbuch from Oberkammlach . They are also said to have been used in the parish church in Mindelheim . They are made of oak , are decorated with acanthus carving on the edge and have fruit pendants. There are two wooden figures in the chapel: a crucifix in the apse apse was created at the beginning of the 16th century, a Saint Joseph with baby Jesus was carved in the 18th century. The painting in the chapel shows an Immaculate and is labeled Wirsching 1894 . It is closed with a round arch and was formerly an altarpiece .
