History and equipment

The oldest building structure goes back to the late Middle Ages. In 1654 the building came into the possession of Johann Anton Pestalozza and was converted into a representative manor house.

Inside the building, on the ground floor, is the Sala terrena ( Rhaeto-Romanic for “ground floor hall”), on the wall of which the Pestalozza and Salis coat of arms from the time after the end of the turmoil in Graubünden around 1654 are attached.

On the first floor there is a paneled room in late Gothic style from the late 15th century. The ceiling in the vestibule is decorated with stucco and decorated with images from mythology , which are dated to the years 1730–40.
