The employers' association of handicrafts NRW , formerly the state association of the trade associations of the handicrafts (LFH), was founded in 1949 under the name "Association of the trade associations in North Rhine-Westphalia ". It is a registered association and has its seat in Düsseldorf .

As the umbrella organization of the state guild and professional associations and part of the North Rhine-Westphalian Crafts Day (NWHT), the Entrepreneurs' Association of the Crafts of North Rhine-Westphalia (LFH) represents employers in the North Rhine-Westphalian craft sector.

The LFH brings together 33 national guild and trade associations, which look after around 100,000 companies with around 700,000 employees. Their tasks include representing the interests of common economic and social policy issues, coordinating employer ideas on all collective bargaining issues and carrying out joint public relations work in the interests of North Rhine-Westphalia as a whole.

The LFH represents the North Rhine-Westphalia Craft Industry Group in numerous self-governing bodies of the insurance companies , the employers' liability insurance association and the labor administration.
