Fatales trust - so close to the murderer (original title: Unusual Suspects ) is an American crime thriller - documentary series that was broadcast on the American channel Investigation Discovery from May 2010 . The German-language first broadcast has been on the German broadcaster Kabel eins Doku since September 2016 .

From October 4 to December 28, 2017, the ninth and final season was broadcast under the title Unusual Suspects: Deadly Intent .

concept

The documentary series reconstructs criminal cases that have been the most complicated and difficult cases in the United States. The focus is often previously inconspicuous people who have committed the acts of violence.

One case is dealt with in each episode; Police videos, photos and emergency call recordings, TV news reports and interviews with those involved are used.

German-speaking area

The German-language first broadcast has been on Wednesdays at 8:15 p.m. on the German channel Kabel Eins Doku since September 28, 2016 ; who started broadcasting a week earlier. The translation and broadcast is not based on the original classification of the episodes. Episodes from the sixth and eighth season were selected. At the beginning, 20 episodes were translated into German and broadcast.

Since June 17, 2017 and December 9, 2018, the German channels Sixx and Sat.1 Gold have been showing repeats of the episodes that have previously been translated into German.

Since January 3, 2018, episodes from the seventh season have been broadcast on Kabel eins Doku for the first time, episodes from the fifth season since February 21, 2018 and episodes from the fourth season since March 21, 2018. As early as March 15, 2018, Kabel eins Doku expanded the slot for German-language first broadcasts until May 3, 2018 with Thursdays at 10 p.m. In the period from January 3 to May 30, 2018, a total of 29 additional episodes were broadcast in German.
