Unwin Ledge is a 1950 m high and flattened mountain ridge in East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Asgard Range , it looms west of the Hothem Cliffs and one mile south of Mount Hall . Its plateau-like summit ridge is icy and rises 400 m above the head ends of the Newall and Canada glaciers .
The New Zealand Geographic Board named him in 1998 after Robert Sidney Unwin (1918-1996), former head of the DSIR Geophysics Division , who worked from 1958 to 1959 at Scott Base .
