Uri Brener

Uri Brener (* 1974 in Moscow ) is an Israeli composer of Russian origin.

Life

Uri Brener began his musical education ( bassoon , piano and composition ) at the age of 4. He received lessons at the Moscow Conservatory and the Gnessin Institute . From the age of 9 he studied composition with Tikhon Chrennikow . In 1990 he emigrated to Germany, where he continued his composition studies with Manfred Trojahn at the Robert Schumann Hochschule in Düsseldorf and with Daan Manneke at the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam . After completing his studies, he went to Israel in 1996, where he works as a composer today.

Uri Brener's compositions are initially based on Dmitri Shostakovich and Alexander Scriabin , later he opens up to the influences of contemporary compositional techniques.
