At 1949 meters, Cerro Uritorco is the highest mountain in the Sierra Chica , a mountain range in the Sierras de Córdoba (central Argentina ). At its foot lies the town of Capilla del Monte with 10,000 inhabitants in the Valle de Punilla in the province of Cordoba .

Uritu urqu means "parrot mountain " in Argentine Quechua .

The mountain is privately owned by Sonia Beatriz Anchorena de Crotto from one of the richest families in Argentina; entry is required to climb it.
